MONTREAL — Two weeks have passed, but the messages still keep coming in for Andre Creel, Jean-Michel Gelinas, Alejandro Joubert, and Bouh Kalif.
They are four Montreal men who took part in a dramatic rescue at Jarry metro station.
“I’ve received over a hundred phone calls and numerous emails,” said Creel.
“It hasn’t stopped.”
Just before midnight on March 12, the men saw a woman in distress lying on the metro tracks.
“It’s definitely something to take in,” said Joubert.
“It takes time to take in.”

Three of them quickly jumped onto the tracks and signalled to the approaching train to stop – which it did, just in time.
The fourth man filmed the whole ordeal.
Their quick-thinking prevented a disaster.
They also put their own lives at risk by coming dangerously close to stepping on the high-voltage lines.
On Thursday, the men were honoured by Sun Youth for their courage.
They each received a commemorative plaque and gift certificates totalling $350.
“I know the STM and metro police are really mad at us for doing that, so I’d like to say thank you for not giving us tickets,” said Kalif with a smile.
Sun Youth has been recognizing Good Samaritans since 2001.
More than 60 individuals have been honoured by the community organization.
“Let’s get involved, let’s do more,” said Helio Galego with Sun Youth.
“Let’s get to know our neighbour, let’s help our neighbour.”
The only missing person at the ceremony, was the victim, whose whereabouts are unknown.
The young men said they would all like to meet the woman one day.
Creel told Global News if he was put in the same situation, he would do it all over again.
“Yes, but with no cameras,” he added.
