Federal Election 2015: Bellechasse-Les Etchemins-Lévis riding

Summary: This is Conservative MP and Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney’s riding, one of just five the Conservatives won in Quebec in 2011. Blaney is seeking a fourth term.

Boundaries:  This riding is south of Quebec City. It includes  the eastern part of Levis, as well as the RCM of Bellechasse and most of Les Etchemins.

Last Election: Conservative Blaney earned 44.0 per cent of the vote, to defeat NDP Nicole Laliberté, who earned 33.8 per cent.

History: Blaney was first elected here in 2006, defeated the Bloc Québécois incumbent, Réal Lapierre.

Demographics: With a population of 112,385 (as of the last census), it’s the most populous riding in Quebec.
