Last Election: Longtime Conservative MP Randy Kamp was elected to his fourth term, defeating NDP challenger Craig Speirs by 18.8 per cent.
History: The area elected NDP MPs on three occasions in the ’70s and ’80s, but has elected Reform/Alliance/CPC MPs since 1993. Provincially, the riding for this area elected a Liberal MLA in 2013, but narrowly elected NDP MLAs in four of the five previous elections
Demographics: Another popular suburban region for young Metro Vancouver families, just 11,155 people were seniors in the 2011 census, the second smallest number in B.C.
