McDonald’s is making a cheesy change to its burger offerings in Texas with the hopes of luring back customers.

The burger giant is now offering smoked gouda as a premium new ingredient in some of its restaurants in the northern part of the Lone Star state.

It’s part of a new McDonald’s concept in which customers are allowed to customize their sandwiches using a self-ordering kiosk or tablet.

Sixty locations in the U.S. are trying it.

In an email to Global News, a McDonald’s Canada spokesperson said they are “looking forward to hearing more about this test in Texas.”
