Montreal Comiccon wraps up

WATCH ABOVE: There was something for everyone at Montreal’s Comiccon, from geek love to cosplay. Global’s Elysia Bryan-Baynes reports.

MONTREAL – Superheroes have been flying around our city for the past three days.

The 7th edition of the Montreal Comiccon wrapped up Sunday at the Palais des Congrès.

Organizers are still counting but say more than 50, 000 people took part in this year’s event that featured hundreds of artists, cosplayers and celebrities.

And for the first time, Montreal’s Comiccon featured a “geek wedding.”

The couple made their own Star Wars costumes.

The flower girl was Darth Vader and storm troopers walked the bride down the aisle.
