Ritchie Bros. to set record with Saskatoon auction

SASKATOON – A Saskatoon auction currently taking place is expected to go down in company history. Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers says it will set a new site record when it sells over 2,000 equipment items and trucks during its one-day unreserved public auction Monday.

Types of agricultural equipment up for sale include tractors, combines and swathers.

Bidders can go online, bid by proxy or show up in person at the auction site located near Highway 12 and Cory Road. Items are sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.

On Dec. 2, 2014, Ritchie Bros. auctioned off over 1,750 equipment items at its Saskatoon site.

The largest Canadian auction in company history was held this past spring over four days in Edmonton, selling over $215 million worth of heavy equipment and vehicles.

Established in 1958, Ritchie Bros. sells agriculture, construction and other heavy equipment at 44 auction sites across the globe.
