Professional career: first joined Québecor, the media and communication conglomerate his father founded, in 1985; appointed CEO of Quebecor in 1999 until his resignation in 2013; helped lead Quebecor through the acquisition of various media organizations such as publishing company Sun Media Corporation, cable provider Vidéotron and broadcaster TVA.

Political career: First elected to legislature, 2014 as Saint-Jérôme MNA; PQ leader, 2015

Personal: Married to French banker Isabelle Hervet, 1994 to 2000, and had one child with her. Since 2001, he has been involved with prominent francophone TV host Julie Snyder. They have two children.
