SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Health Region has a new specialized doctor. Pediatric endocrinologist Mark Inman officially joined the region on Wednesday.
Inman will be part of a two-person team who will treat outpatient children dealing with conditions like diabetes.
He said the future Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan influenced his decision to come to the city.

“Most physicians coming out of training and even mid-career, there’s very few chances to actually be involved in something from the ground up and really build a division, particularly one that you can actually cater to not only your personal needs from a career perspective but to the needs of the community and beyond,” said Inman.
The Canadian Diabetes Association believes the move will provide more specialty services in the province.
