MONTREAL — Longueuil police are looking for the owner of a boat found beached along the St. Lawrence River.

“The wreck was found along the St. Lawrence River at the top of the Île Grosbois in Boucherville,” authorities noted on Facebook Wednesday.

According to police, it was first discovered on May 3.

Following federal law, the Longueuil police have launched a public campaign to try and find the boat’s owner, who has 15 days from today to claim the wreck.

If it’s not claimed, the boat will be disposed of.
