Apple partners with Drake for revamped music service

Canadian hip hop giant Drake is going head to head with Jay-Z’s Tidal, joining Apple’s latest streaming venture.

ET Canada has confirmed with a source close to Drake that the Canadian hip hop giant and Apple have a struck a deal to work together on the company’s revamped music service.

Pharrell will also reportedly be a part of Apple’s soon to be unveiled project which will be showcased at Apple’s 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference. Drake is expected to serve as a guest DJ for the technology giant’s iTunes Radio project.

Drake was close to becoming one of the faces of Tidal before electing to pass on partnering up.
