WINNIPEG — Nic Demski isn’t the only member of the Manitoba Bisons trying to crack an NFL roster. Defensive tackle Evan Gill of Winnipeg has been invited to the New York Giants’ mini-camp this weekend in the Big Apple.
Thursday evening the Manitoba Bisons said in a tweet that Gill failed his medical prior to the start of camp and won’t be able to take part.

Gill missed a good chunk of last season with the Herd after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee back in September.

The former member of the Churchill Bulldogs was selected ninth overall by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in last year’s CFL draft but opted to return to school to improve his chances of getting an invite to an NFL camp.
Demski is attending mini-camp of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.
