EDMONTON – Four more people have been charged in an ongoing collaborative investigation by police in Alberta and B.C.
Earlier this week, police announced two separate murder charges against Sean Jennings. The 27-year-old Edmonton man was charged with first degree murder in the death of Theoren Gregory Poitras, who was found dead inside a Richmond, B.C. home in October. Poitras was known to police in Alberta for his involvement with gangs, according to Richmond RCMP.
Jennings was also charged with second degree murder in the July 2014 shooting death of Alor Deng. Deng was walking with friends along 81 Avenue in Edmonton when a verbal exchange turned fatal, police said.
Jennings was also charged with 32 other criminal charges.
Also earlier this week, police announced 24-year-old David Nguyen of Edmonton faced 20 charges for violent crimes.

On Friday, Edmonton police announced charges against four additional men in connection with the investigation.
Adrian Barnes was arrested in Fort McMurray on Tuesday. The 37-year-old is facing six criminal charges, including aggravated assault, two counts of extortion, conspiracy to commit a break and enter and two other charges.
Also Tuesday, police arrested and charged Michael Kogut with four criminal charges. Police said the 26-year-old participated in a crime with another man and is now facing charges of break and enter, unlawful confinement and robbery with a firearm.
On Wednesday, police arrested Jonathan Henry on 15 criminal charges, alleging his involvement in two separate incidents in Edmonton. In one case, the 28-year-old was charged with uttering threats to cause death, robbery, injuring an animal, three firearms-related offences and three weapons-related offences.
Officers also said Fabick Gorjok was charged back in February with break and enter, unlawful confinement and public mischief. Police said they delayed the announcement of the charges because they were linked to the ongoing investigation.
As of April 3, police have laid more than 78 criminal charges against six people in the joint B.C./Alberta investigation. Police believe other people may be charged in the coming weeks.
