Injured woman found outside of Saskatoon dies in hospital

Watch above: A quiet area on the outskirts of Saskatoon was swarming with emergency officials Wednesday morning after the discovery of an injured woman on the road. Meaghan Craig says she has since died and police have many unanswered questions.

SASKATOON – An injured woman found on a road outside of Saskatoon has died. Police say her death is considered suspicious in nature.

Police have released few details as the major crime and forensic identification sections carry out their investigation.

A passerby found the woman on Cedar Villa Estates Road near Valley Road Wednesday around 6 a.m. She was taken to hospital by M.D. Ambulance where she died a short time later.

Saskatoon police are now seeking the public’s help in identifying the victim. The woman is described as Caucasian, approximately 20 to 35 years old.

She was wearing a black leather style jacket with a leopard print lining and a quartz ladies watch with diamonds and an orange face.

The victim also has two stars tattooed on her left hand and a lion on her left shoulder blade.
