VANCOUVER – A small rock group from Chilliwack, British Columbia has thrown down a big challenge to one of Canada’s top bands.
Pardon My Striptease wants Nickelback to match donations to BC Children’s Hospital if the Chilliwack band’s song Pray (For LJ) goes to No. 1 on the iTunes chart of top 10 rock songs.

Pray is dedicated to lead singer Andrew Putt’s one-year-old daughter Lilee-Jean, who is battling a rare form of brain cancer at the hospital.
The band plans to donate money raised from the sale of the song to the hospital.
Putt says the band and his partner Chelsey Whittle just wanted to pay back the hospital for all the support it has given the family.
Putt says he has not received a response from Nickelback, whose song When We Stand Together claimed the No. 1 spot Thursday, just ahead of Pray, which stood at No. 2 on iTunes.
