Beaubien metro set to close for the summer

MONTREAL – The Beaubien metro station is closing its doors temporary from May 4th to August 30th.

The stop on the STM’s orange line requires major electrical work, renovations to the lighting, ventilation, wall panels and stairs.

Upgrades will also be made on the outside of the station, including sidewalks, walkway edges and adding more trees.

In the meantime, a shuttle bus service will be provided for commuters from Beaubien to Jean-Talon and Rosemont stations.

The buses will run every two to six minutes during rush hour and every 10 minutes at other times.

The station is expected to re-open by the end of August.
