TORONTO – Life can be pretty hectic and stressful. So sometimes it’s good to just sit back and look at the universe.
What to do if you don’t have a telescope of your own? Why not have fun with the world’s most famous telescope, Hubble?

NASA and the European Space Agency are partnering in celebration of the Hubble Space Telescope’s 25th anniversary. And you can take part.
NASA is inviting the public to take part in Hubble Mania, a face-off between 32 of the best Hubble images from the past 25 years.
From March 4 to April 6, people can visit the site and vote on their favourite image.
The stunning images range from the historic “Pillars of Creation,” to planets such as Jupiter and Saturn, to the farthest look back in time at galaxy clusters formed after the Big Bang. There are nebulae, the birthplace of stars and planets and even Comet ISON.

Meanwhile, the European Space Agency is challenging people to pay homage to Hubble with their “Ode to Hubble” competition.
People are encouraged to tell the world how they feel about Hubble by uploading a YouTube, Vine or Instagram video that’s less than three minutes long.
Hubble has contributed to incredible scientific discoveries including looking back in time at the oldest galaxy ever photographed. The James Webb Telescope will be the successor to Hubble, scheduled to launch in 2018.
