Man guilty of threats to blow up Sask. RCMP detachment

YORKTON, Sask. – A man has pleaded guilty to threatening to blow up a RCMP detachment in Saskatchewan. Shayne James Trowbridge, 40, admitted in provincial court in Yorkton, Sask., to uttering threats to harm RCMP members and uttering threats to destroy an RCMP building.

He was sentenced to six months in jail, minus the 42 days he’s already spent in custody.

On Jan. 14, a member of the public alerted police that threats to blow up the RCMP detachment had appeared on Facebook.
