MONTREAL – An SQ officer has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a teen in Ste. Adele back in January 2014.
Reports of a stolen car led officers to an area outside of Augustin-Norbert-Morin school on Jan. 22, 2014.
Officer Eric Deslauriers allegedly shot the 17-year-old victim in the back after the teen reportedly tried to escape the scene.
Montreal police told Global News the major crimes unit took the 43-year-old Deslauriers into custody Thursday afternoon.
Deslauriers will face charges of involuntary manslaughter for his alleged role in the shooting death.
