EDMONTON – The death of a 28-year-old man in Fort McMurray is being treated as a homicide.
Wood Buffalo RCMP say officers responded to a report of gunshots late Monday night at an apartment complex on MacDonald Ave. in Fort McMurray. Police found the body of Mustafa Mattan inside an apartment suite when they arrived on scene.

The Medical Examiner has determined the death was a homicide but further details about how Mattan died aren’t being released.
The 28-year-old victim is a resident of Fort McMurray.
