A woman who had a warrant for her arrest after breaching parole conditions is back in prison after producing an expired fare at a SkyTrain station.
Joanna Lee Larson was convicted of manslaughter in 2001, but was released last year. She had an outstanding warrant for Revocation of National Parole on January 25 when she gave a Transit Police officer an expired fare and lied about her identity.
Larson was charged for first-degree murder for the 2001 killing of Annette Allan, but only found guilty of manslaughter. It happened in a Surrey residence infamously known as the “House of Horrors” by RCMP officers, who investigated several potential tortures and killings there over many years.
Larson is now the Alouette Correctional Centre for Women in Maple Ridge.
