MARKHAM, Ont. – A 37-year-old Richmond Hill man is in critical condition after a car crashed into a pole.
Provincial police say it happened Friday night (on the ramp from eastbound Major Mackenzie Drive to northbound Highway 404) in Markham.

Police say the man lost control of his BMW and hit a light post on the right shoulder.
He was airlifted to Sunnybrook hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The man was the only one in the car.
