SASKATOON – A woman accused of pointing a gun at a Saskatoon police officer is in custody. The 32-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday just before midnight at a residence in the 200-block of Avenue N North.

She is alleged to have pointed a handgun at the officer Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop as part of a theft investigation. The officer took cover and the woman fled the area on foot.

The woman, who has not been named, is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Monday morning.

Police continue to investigate and say a weapon has not yet been located.
