EDMONTON – Two STARS helicopters were dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 56 south of Stettler on Tuesday.
Crews from both Calgary and Edmonton responded to the crash – about 19 kilometres south of Stettler – around 9:45 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a man trapped in a vehicle and a woman who had been ejected from one vehicle and was trapped under another.
The woman was flown to Foothills hospital in Calgary in critical, potentially life-threatening condition.
The man was flown to the University of Alberta hospital in stable, non life-threatening condition.
