EDMONTON – Police are searching for a suspect after a man was dragged by a stolen vehicle in south Edmonton.
A call was made to police shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday regarding the theft of a vehicle in the area of 83 Street and 29 Avenue.
Police were told a 61-year-old went to his vehicle in the morning which was parked in a residential parking lot.
When he approached the driver side door, he heard his vehicle start up and saw someone inside.
The man had his hand on the door handle when the vehicle sped off, reportedly dragging him a short distance.
The man was found lying on the ground by emergency responders who took him to hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
The suspect is described a Caucasian man between 20 and 30 years old.
The vehicle is described as a 1995, gold-coloured Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Alberta licence plate BNS 2311.
