The couple was about 25 miles into their ride on the North Brand biking trail when a storm moved in.

Glynn, who was wearing a helmet, was struck by the uprooted tree. She died of her injuries in hospital.

The actress played a doctor in several episodes of Chicago Fire.

In a Facebook message, Foust wrote: “I couldn’t save her. I couldn’t save her. She’s gone.”
