Police seek female CTrain passengers in voyeurism case

CALGARY – Police are searching for two women who may have been victims of voyeurism while aboard an LRT.

They launched an investigation last Wednesday, after a victim complained she was riding an elevator at the Whitehorn LRT Station when she noticed a man filming underneath her skirt.

The victim confronted the man and he ran off

Police arrested a suspect the next day at the Marlborough LRT Station.

As investigators reviewed CCTV footage, they discovered that the suspect may have taken additional images of two other women.

Both victims are believed to have boarded an outbound CTrain at a downtown station, possibly 3rd Street, Centre Street or City Hall on Wednesday, August 13th, 2014.

The first victim is described as an Asian woman, 20 to 35-years-old, with dark hair pulled into a ponytail. She was wearing a pink and grey short-sleeved dress, sunglasses, a black purse, headphones and was carrying a shopping bag.

She disembarked the lead car at the Whitehorn LRT Station at approximately 5:10 p.m.

The second victim is described as a Caucasian woman, 20 to 35-years-old with red hair. She was wearing a dark-coloured pencil skirt, a grey ruffled top, a black cardigan, light-coloured flats and was carrying a large-sized purse.

She disembarked the middle car at the Whitehorn LRT Station at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Anyone who has information about these passengers is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234.

Police have charged 28-year-old Christopher Darichuk of Calgary with three counts of voyeurism.
