According to local news reports, 27 homes in the area were evacuated, though all but three have been allowed to return home.

The landslide began slowly, but soon had destroyed a retaining wall and damaged a nearby tennis court and swim club.

Residents in the area say that they noticed earth around the home moving about a week ago when a developer began to prepare several lots at the top of the hill.
