UPDATE: Kenneth Trevor McCullough, 39, was arrested and charged with second degree murder in the death of Stacey Raymond King. The two men knew one another and police believe a dispute took place before King’s death. McCullough, according to IHIT, has a criminal record dating back to 1992.

VANCOUVER – A 45-year-old man stabbed to death in Maple Ridge on August 2 has been identified as Stacey Raymond King.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says he was known to police and an autopsy was scheduled.

The stabbing happened on Dewdney Trunk Road and 223 Street in Maple Ridge. King was taken to the hospital but later died of his injuries. According to IHIT, the suspect fled the scene but early indications and evidence suggested it was a targeted attack.

IHIT took over the case and has been actively investigating since August 2.
