VANCOUVER – For people hoping for some relief from the heat, you’ll have fewer options to cool down during the long weekend.
The Township of Langley closed the Aldergrove outdoor pool on Friday, which is the latest in a series of closures at the popular facility.

The pool has had repeated problems with cloudy water. The murkiness does not pose a risk to public health, but if lifeguards can’t see the bottom of the pool, it has to close.
There have been similar problems at outdoor pools in Aldergove and Fort Langley. The pools were painted two years ago and crews are trying to determine if that is causing the problem.
Meanwhile, swimming and wading is not recommended at Eagle Harbour, Ambleside, Sandy Cove, Dundarave and Sunset beaches in Vancouver due to high levels of E. coli.
