TORONTO — Star Wars fans got a look Monday at a fighter craft that will be part of Episode VII.
In a video to promote the Force for Change contest, director J.J. Abrams is seen standing in front of a jet-like fighter similar to the iconic X-Wing Starfighter from the original Star Wars.

While Abrams talks about the initiative in support of UNICEF — and a new opportunity to win a private advance screening of the movie — the cockpit hatch opens up and a pilot climbs aboard.
Abrams said Force for Change, which is in its final week, has already generated donations from people in 119 countries.
The highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII is currently in production in England.
