TORONTO — Kelsey Grammer has joined Twitter with a pledge to rid social media of bad grammar.

“It has come to my attention that the fine people of @Twitter have an egregious grammar problem,” the actor tweeted on June 30. “I’m here to help.”

Using #KelseyGrammerGrammar, the 59-year-old former Frasier star is taking on people who don’t know the difference between “it’s” and “its” or “effect” and “affect” — and those who think “irregardless” is a word.
