Sci fi series ‘The Whispers’ to shoot in Vancouver

TORONTO — Steven Spielberg’s midseason TV series The Whispers will be shot in Vancouver.

The sci fi series, based on the Ray Bradbury short story Zero Hour, is about aliens who begin taking over the Earth using human children.

The series stars Autumn Reeser (Last Resort), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Lily Rabe (American Horror Story).

Cameras will roll in B.C. from late July until early December.

The Whispers is scheduled to debut early next year on ABC.

Spielberg is an executive producer of another made-in-B.C. series, Falling Skies.
