There’s been another delay in the Capital Pointe downtown project.
Company officials previously told Global News they’d have shovels in the ground by July. But, it turns out that won’t be happening.
The planners are working once again on getting the proper permits with the city.

They now hope to have that figured out by the end of July. It’ll take another four to six weeks after that before any construction can start.
The $70-million project has experienced several delays after first being announced in 2010.
Before this latest delay, project planners projected the first residents would be able to move in by late summer 2016. No word on whether or not another delay has pushed that date back yet again.
