CALGARY – Officials say they are not sure what caused a chlorine leak in the Talisman Centre on Friday.

The Calgary Fire Department rushed to the sports complex on MacLeod Trail south around 3:30 a.m.

The building was evacuated as the members of the Hazardous Material Response team donned encapsulated suits to enter the chlorine room

Crews were able to shut off all chlorine supplies, and say chlorine levels weren’t hazardous, even during the leak.
