Search resumes for body of missing woman at Golden Ears Park

Eleven members of the Coquitlam and Ridge Meadows search and rescue teams are resuming their search for the body of a 23-year-old Surrey woman believed to have fallen into the swift waters of Gold Creek in Maple Ridge in June.

The woman was reportedly on a family outing when she slipped and fell into Gold Creek Falls on June 25.

Despite hours of searching by Maple Ridge Search and Rescue, RCMP, and fire crews, the woman could not be located.

Shortly after the woman’s disappearance, search crews have found a sweater matching the description of what the woman was wearing and it has been confirmed as hers.
