Tourist in flip-flops rescued from Scottish mountain

TORONTO – If you’re going to climb a mountain in search of snow, it’s probably a good idea not to wear flip-flops.

The man, who was wearing flip-flops, had to be stretchered off the 4,000-foot mountain by a search and rescue team.

“We told them next time they come back to Scotland to stand on snow they should wear something more appropriate, like a good pair of boots,” rescue team leader John Stevenson told the Scottish media.
