Harinder Malhi has kept Brampton-Springdale a Liberal riding.

Malhi won with 40 per cent of the vote in early results. The NDP’s Gurpreet Dhillon won 31.5 per cent, and PC candidate Pam Hundal won 24.4 per cent.

This seat was wide open after longtime MPP Linda Jeffrey resigned to run for mayor of Brampton. The riding has been Liberal since 2003, though the 2011 election was close.
