Beyonce and Jay Z announce Winnipeg concert

WINNIPEG – Musical power couple Beyonce and Jay Z will perform at Investors Group Field on July 27.

Tickets to the show, which cost $40 to $200, will go on sale to the general public on Friday through Ticketmaster. Beyonce fan club members will be able to buy tickets starting Tuesday.

Winnipeg and Toronto are the only Canadian stops for the On the Run tour, which will also play in 14 U.S. cities.

The two, who have sold millions of recordings that have won multiple Grammys, promise to donate $1 from every ticket to the Shawn Carter Foundation, which helps students with financial difficulties access post-secondary educations. Shawn Carter is Jay Z’s real name.

JAY Z and Beyonce married in 2008 and have a daughter, Blue Ivy, who was born in January 2012.
