SASKATOON – The RCMP’s nation-wide impaired driving enforcement day resulted in 56 drunk drivers being nabbed in Saskatchewan last month.
On March 22, check-stops at intersections across Canada were held with the goal of reducing the number of drunk drivers.

Saskatchewan Mounties stopped 3,308 vehicles that Saturday which resulted in 56 impaired driving charges and 45 roadside suspensions.

A combined total of 496.5 man-hours were dedicated to this initiative in the province.
RCMP encourages anyone who sees a driver they believe is impaired to call 911 and report them.
