TORONTO — Veteran actors Danny Glover and Frank Whaley have signed on to the made-in-Vancouver movie Monster Trucks.

Glover is best known for his role in the Lethal Weapon movies.

Whaley, who had a recurring role in Ray Donovan last year, has appeared in movies like Pulp Fiction and Field of Dreams.

He was last in Vancouver to do a guest spot in the short-lived series Alcatraz.

The two stars are joining a cast that already includes Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class), Jane Levy (Suburgatory), Amy Ryan (The Office) and Holt McCallany (Golden Boy).

Monster Trucks is a $125 million action flick that will rely heavily on computer-generated images.

As reported here last December, it will be shot in the Vancouver area until mid-July for a May 2015 release.
