EDMONTON – Twelve people were arrested in a number of separate drug trafficking investigations, including one resulting in the largest single cash seizure in Edmonton Police Service (EPS) history.
The largest of the six busts happened on March 21 and ended with $800,000 in cash and 1.5 kg of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $85,000, being seized. Search warrants were conducted at four locations throughout Edmonton, with the majority of cash being found at a home near 167 Ave. and 111 St.
Police say the money seized will be used to compensate victims of crime and disrupt organized crime.
Kevin Correia, Michael Mannara, and Jocelyn Zunti are facing several drug-related charges, including conspiracy to traffic cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Cody Klemola is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The Edmonton Drug and Gang Enforcement Unit (EDGE) conducted five other investigations between March 11 and March 20, resulting in the following people being charged with at least one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking:
Eugene Emmanuel Kim, John Ibberson, Arthur Ibberson, Mark Crossley, Holly Dyck, Nicole Ammann, Shane Labine, and Kenneth Houle.
Houle and Ammann are also facing firearm related charges.
