CALGARY- A sprawling ranch southwest of Calgary is up for grabs—for those who have mega-millions to spare.
Kettle Lake Ranches near Millarville sites on 242 acres. The asking price? A staggering $37.8 million, which just might be the most expensive residential listing ever in Alberta.
“You’re going to get a buyer that wants privacy, that wants seclusion, and yet wants elegance,” says Mark Evernden from Sotheby’s. “Usually business people, company owners.”
The three bedroom, three bathroom bungalow sits on the shores of one of two private lakes on the property, and offers a mountain view. There is also a guest house, wine cellar, barn and a working antique gas station.

“There were countless, countless hours and money invested into what you see today,” Evernden adds.
The property is owned by a woman, who bought it with her late husband 15 years ago. The area was originally set to be developed for the Ford Motor Company, but the MD of Foothills shut down the project for environmental reasons. She is now selling the ranch to move closer to family.
