The B.C. Budget: Where does the government’s money come from? And where does it go?

The government, which is forecasting a small surplus for the upcoming year, estimates revenues of $44.8 billion for 2014/2015. But where will that money come from?

The government spends most of the money funding various ministries. They estimate they will spend just over $34 billion on their 19 different revenues. And while the Ministry of Health is the largest expenditure, it might surprise you to know it takes up nearly half the total amount.
