Three people, including a 13-year-old girl, were killed, after a minivan, which police say was driven by a 14-year-old girl, crashed Thursday in northern Saskatchewan.
According to RCMP, members from the Beauval detachment responded to a rollover at the junction of Highway 965 and the road to Canoe Narrows – 440 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon – around 7:30 a.m.
The minivan, which RCMP say had 10 occupants, lost control and rolled multiple times into a wooded area along the side of the road, ejecting several of the occupants from the vehicle. Two males along with the 13-year-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene.
Six people were taken to hospital, including one in critical condition.
An RCMP accident reconstructionist is at the scene and assisting with the investigation.
