CALGARY – Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit and run collision that left a 19-year-old man fighting for his life.
It happened at the intersection of Anderson Road and 14 Street S.W. around 8:30p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say a Hyundai Accent carrying the 19-year-old and his father was travelling eastbound on Anderson when it stopped at the intersection to make a left turn onto 14 Street.

However, the Hyundai was rear-ended by another vehicle, which pushed it into oncoming traffic.
It was then t-boned by a westbound Dodge Durango as it passed through the intersection.
Police say the car that initially rear-ended the Hyundai took off. It’s believed to be a pick-up truck similar to a Dodge Dakota or Toyota Tundra that has a front bumper height taller than most vehicles.
The 19-year-old in the Accent received critical injuries from the crash, while his father and the 29-year-old driver of the Durango suffered only minor injuries
Investigators are still searching for the driver of vehicle that caused the crash.
