“I called my dad right away,” says Dean. “I told him to start looking for a house.”

He discovered his win a few days after the Friday draw, when he scanned his ticket at a lottery retailer’s self-service Ticket Checker.

In addition to buying a home for his parents, Dean said he plans to put some of his windfall toward a home and new vehicle for himself.
