SASKATOON – Saskatoon has earned the highest possible credit rating from an international bond rating agency for another consecutive year.
Standard & Poor’s reaffirmed its AAA/stable credit rating for the City of Saskatoon on Monday.
The city says its favorable budget performance and self-generated revenues continue to place it in a strong and stable financial position.
S&P is confident that Saskatoon’s cash flow and investments will increase to offset any rising debt.
The Bridge City has received a triple-A rating every year for over a decade.
Receiving the highest possible rating means the city can borrow money at lower rates.
