They would only say it appears medication or alcohol may have caused him to fall unconscious.

The man was taken to hospital for further examination.

Police were called to the home just before 11 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report that a suicidal man was inside.

They say he barricaded himself inside and refused to let officers in, prompting members of the emergency response team and a negotiator to go to the scene.
