Salvation Army officials across the Okanagan say they will not be refusing any gifts donated for its Christmas campaign.
This announcement comes on the heels of news the Calgary Salvation Army will not be handing out any Harry Potter or Twilight related presents this year.
Captain Pam Goodyear of the Calgary Salvation Army says the organization received a few complaints from parents asking it not to include certain kinds of items in their Christmas packages.
Dave McBain from the Vernon Salvation Army says the organization hears similar complaints every year.
This year, the Vernon location is allowing parents to choose what type of presents they want in their Christmas hampers.
Salvation Army officials say presents are badly needed for kids aged 9 to 12; the most popular items include movie passes and mall gift certificates.
