What happens when we truly listen, with compassion and tenderness? How can you live well in the face of a serious illness? Join us as we explore these themes and learn about how conversations can support those dealing with life’s final lap. Presentations by 2 experienced palliative physicians who will share their stories and wisdom. We will learn about how to talk about what really matters more honestly and without regret; gain some advice to address practical challenges; and hear about the therapeutic power of approaching the universal, but deeply personal, process of dying with openness and clarity. Dr. Kathryn Mannix – best-selling author of ‘With the End in Mind’ and ‘Listen: finding the words for tender conversations’ Dr. Pippa Hawley – author of ‘Lap of Honour; A no fear guide to living well with dying’
